Halo Players Hate Gays

Here’s a video I came across on Cyberspace of an openly homosexual gamer (xxxGayBoyxxx) on Xbox Live getting abuse from various different players. Although he admits that not all the comments were not necessarily hateful it is pretty interesting to hear how many meatheads there are in the gaming world. What’s even more interesting is [...]

Xbox 360 outsells PS3 in Japan

Not by much mind you… only a margin of 239 consoles. What is interesting though is that both the PS3 and Wii are experiencing a decline in sales whereas the Xbox 360 has seen an unexplained upsurge in sales, possibly due to a mixture of the success of Halo 3 and the price drop for [...]

The Land of Tunage

This is pretty swish. Gracenote – those lovely people who make the track names pop up when you put a CD in your drive (assuming you’re online at the time) have done a lovely map of the world where you can click on each individual country and find out what top ten artists they’re into. [...]

Leopard getting as much grief as Vista

It appears that after all the carping and crowing of all the Apple luvvies out there that Leopard was going to be the greatest thing to happen to mankind since the birth of Steve Jobs it transpires that as an O.S. it pretty much sucks. How so? Well… it crashes all the time, the networking [...]

Second Life is for Paedophiles

Well, not quite. But I’ve always felt there was something intrinsically sinister about creating an image of yourself and spending hours and hours looking for weird friends when you could just be making new, real (and possibly not so weird) ones. Anyhoo, it appears paedophile activity is happening in that some adults are posing as [...]

Google to bring the pain to Facebook & Co.

As discussed within these pages over two weeks ago it seemed a little nonsensical that Google should be asked to value Facebook at $18 billion when the social network is making relatively little cash. It seems that Google quickly came to same conclusion and have acted fast to put together a social networking platform that [...]

PS3 winding up/down to ‘digital media center’ status. Exciting times ahead?

Last Thursday news came through that Sony was selling its PS3 chips to rival Toshiba and is no longer interested in developing the technology further. Yesterday we heard that PlayStation is currently begging games developers not to forget about its console (having previously taken a very arrogant stance towards them), and now it’s being reported [...]

Xbox Sneakers

These are pretty horrible. But its footwear, and games. So it goes in. Madeby Heelys Gamer. Don’t have anything else to say.

Facebook and MySpace to hit peak by around 2009

Last Wednesday I wrote on these pages that sooner or later Facebook was probably in for a  rude awakening due to the inevitable drop in users once everyone got bored. Quite frankly, the interface is so dull I immediately got bored first time I looked at it and quickly left, forgot all about it and [...]

Napster to drop stand alone app for web based store

Napster U.S. announced yesterday that it plans to drop it’s standalone application subscription model in favour of a new web based subscription model.
Christopher Allen, Chief Operating Officer at Napster, said, “With this new platform, Napster can easily be integrated into consumer electronics devices or integrated into other Web sites such as social networking sites.”
What this [...]
